We attended the 36th annual Queensland Tourism Awards, hosted by the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) on the 12th of November, and what a fantastic night it was!
In celebration of the Year of Indigenous Tourism, the entertainment was an exciting cultural experience.
The evening shone a light on the exceptional tourism operators we have throughout Queensland and operators from all corners of the state were recognised and celebrated among more than 1,100 industry leaders and friends.

A very big congratulations to all the category entrants and winners and especially to all the other Whitsunday operators!
The Whitsundays continued its reign as a prize-winning holiday destination, bringing home 10 awards across the 31 award categories.
Whitsunday Escape were thrilled to receive the
Bronze Award for Unique Accommodation.
Managing Director, Trevor Rees, said:
“Receiving this award is a testament to our company and team and all that we’ve accomplished.
“The last 2 years have been a roller coaster however our business practice of offering full refunds for COVID-19 cancellations and this has meant that our customers can book with confidence and that has shone through.
