The all-new 2023 Azimut Verve 48
Azimut will unveil yet another new model at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival starting September 12th.
Earlier in August, the Italian yacht builder released an update on the much-anticipated Magellano 60, which will also debut at Cannes.
The latest news covers the all-new Verve 48, a 15.03 m (49’4″) platform that marks another smaller launch from Azimut in recent months. The cruiser will include dual full-size cabins below deck, and an impressive top speed over 50 knots (57 mph).
Power for the new Verve 48 will come via triple 600-hp Mercury V12 outboards. According to Azimut in a press release, this power configuration will generate 15% greater efficiency, and lower engine noise by 10 decibels, compared to the standard triple Mercury Racing 450 outboards previously offered on the Verve 47.
The Verve 48 showcases Azimut’s latest low profile stylings that include a raked windshield with a strong slope. Other layout changes with the new Verve 48 include a new stern design, a new hardtop shape and layout that covers more surface area, and a larger swim platform with double swim ladders for easier water access. A drop-down bulwark on the port side also creates significantly more social space at the stern. The helm boasts three seats under the hardtop and massive tempered glass windows provide great visibility on three sides. The open stern concept provides easy access and vantage points to the swim platform.
Up front, a split level layout at the bow offers a sun-bathing area up top, with an al fresco dining area with a 6-person table and sofa on the lower portion.
The interior and exterior were both designed by Francesco Struglia, a well-known Italian yacht and home designer. The hull comes from renowned American naval architect Michael Peters, who has an extensive portfolio that includes the likes of Chris-Craft, Bertram. Hinckley, Magnum, Viking, and more.
Below deck, the master cabin is forward with a queen-sized bed. The guest cabin rests under the helm with twin berths. A complete head and shower is also included.
The galley sits immediately upon entry to the lower deck and features a huge L-shaped lounge and table to port. ,
The Verve series marks the entry line for the Italian builder, which has put noted efforts into offering smaller platforms at lower costs. Much like the upcoming Megallano 60, the Verve 48 will sit as the largest in the Verve series, albeit within Azimut’s smallest size offering.
