Obituary for Brian Gene Rowland

Brian Gene Rowland, 69, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday October 20, 2021, at TriStar North Crest Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday October 24th at 12 noon in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be Reed Simpson, Tyler Simpson, Austin Simpson, Dewey Rowland, Chris Biggs, and James Coleman. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Brian was born November 6, 1951, in Wyandotte, MI to the late Calvin and Margaret Repp Rowland. He was a retired maintenance worker with A.O. Smith in Ashland City. Brian loved fishing and was an avid Nashville Predator’s fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

floral squareIn addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Kathryn Sampson. Brian is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marilyn Sampson Rowland of Springfield, by his sons and daughter-in-law: Brian Shawn Rowland of Springfield, Eric and Sharae Rowland of Ashland City, by his daughters and son-in-law: Kimberly Coleman of Portland, Melissa and Reed Simpson of Ashland City, his son-in-law James Coleman of Portland, by his sister: Mary Veddar of Michigan, and by his 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Obituary for Gayle Wisener

Gayle Wisener, age 76 of Springfield, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at her home.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Crouch officiating. Burial followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Bro. Terry McCormick officiating and Gabe Wisener, Connor Wisener, Cole Chaudoin, Daniel Ashburn, Michael Ashburn, and John Wisener serving as pallbearers. Jesse Wisener and Jim Wisener served as honorary pallbearers. The family received Friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 until 7 PM and Saturday from 11 AM until the hour of service.

Mrs. Gayle was born March 26, 1945 in Dayton, OH to the late William Frank and Dorothy Lehman Chapman, Jr. while her father was stationed at Wright Field. She was a member of Orlinda Church of Christ and she was a homemaker. She was a good cook and enjoyed it. She also loved traveling, University of Tennessee Football, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her great grandson.

floral squareShe is survived by her husband, Paul Wisener of Springfield; son and daughter-in-law, Steven Brent and Amy Wisener of Springfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri Lynn and John Ashburn of Lafayette and Vicki Denise and Robert Chaudoin of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Gabe (Meredith) Wisener, Connor (Sutton) Wisener, Cole Chaudoin, Kate Chaudoin, Daniel Ashburn, Michael Ashburn, Jamie Ashburn, and Emily Ashburn; and great grandson, Cale Wisener.

The family requests, if so desired for memorial contributions to be made to Comfort Care Hospice. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.

Obituary for Julia Hazel Davis

Julia Hazel (Clark) Davis, age 98, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at her daughters home.

Julia was born on April 29, 1923 to the late John Turney Clark and Cardia Mae (Holman) Clark. She was born in Pickett County and grew up in the Willow Grove Community. Julia was a member of Adams Church of Christ and a resident of Robertson County since 1950, and was retired from the Wilson Sporting Goods Plant in Springfield.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Raymon Davis; and two sisters, Hilda Mae (Clark) Bilbrey and Mary Grace(Clark) Campbell.

She is survived by one daughter, Shelby Jean (Davis) Knox; four grandchildren, Joy Dianne (Knox) Buck, Carol Dawn Knox, Melany floral squareKay (Knox) Sloan, and Michael Stephen Knox (Anna); five great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm Monday, October 25, 2021 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30pm Monday in the Bellwood Cemtery in Adams, TN.

Obituary for Sarah Head Schulte

Sarah Elizabeth Head Schulte, age 81 of Adams, Tennessee, died Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Spring Meadows Health Care in Clarksville.

The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Monday, October 25th from 4:00PM until 8:00PM.

A Graveside service will be conducted at the Bellwood Cemetery in Adams at 1:00PM on Tuesday, October 26th, with Dr. Ken Riggs officiating. Burial will follow with family & friends serving as pallbearers.

There will be no visitation on Tuesday prior to the graveside service.

Mrs. Schulte was born on November 13, 1939 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late Owen Spencer Head & Evelyn Head Evans. She was retired after 15 years as a Bookkeeper in the contracting business. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. She dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Schulte was a strong Christian whose faith was everything to her. She was a member of Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Schulte; and son, Jeff Damer.

Survivors include her daughter, Terrie Lynn (Jeffery) Farrell; sons, Spencer (Heather) Damer and Jason (Tracy) Damer; brother, Robert (Myra) Head; sister, Jackie (David) Poole; grandchildren, Jeffery Todd Damer, Justin (Brandy) Guadiana, Chase (Nancy June) Damer, Alexandria Damer, Abigail Damer, Trevor Damer, Jesse Damer, and Emma Damer; great-grandchildren, Syvannah Kroeplin, Shyannah Kroeplin, Jace Guadiana, and Jayden Craddock; and nieces & nephews, Michelle & Gaines Shearon, Mark & Tammy Head, Chad & Paige Head, Christy & Keith Clinard, and Chandra Crockett (and the late Ronald Crockett).
